When White House spokesman Josh Earnest cited the New York Times as an “impartial” source declaring recent attacks on Planned Parenthood a smear campaign, Fox News Channel’s Kevin Corke grew indignant. He asked:
You’re not calling the Times impartial are you?
When Earnest affirmed that he was, Clarke continued:
You can’t say that the Times is impartial about all things vis-à-vis Planned Parenthood. I’ve never seen them criticize Planned Parenthood for anything; and yet you’re saying that they’re impartial somehow.”
At this point, Earnest took a pretty blatant swipe at Clarke’s employer.
“I’m going to resist the urge,” he sniped, “to raise questions about the partiality of any news organization in this room.”
