Activist group unveils billboard attacking ‘zealots’ like Kim Davis

The Kentucky county clerk who spent six days in jail for refusing to issue gay marriage licenses continues to face criticism by those who believe her stance was discriminatory.

One gay rights organization bought billboard space in Kim Davis’ hometown of Morehead in an attempt to discredit her view with a biblical reference.

Planting Peace released a statement regarding its advertisement, which included harsh criticism of the “anti-LGBTQ movement” for its “rigid interpretation” of the Bible.

The tactic, however, was criticized by those who concluded Planting Peace was itself referencing scripture out of context.
