Poll shows Hillary way behind in important hypothetical matchup

While Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is having an objectively rough primary season, it is a potential general election rival that has the former secretary of state’s supporters panicking this week.

Many on the left rallied behind Clinton’s effort to become the first female U.S. president; however, a recent poll shows voters in the key primary state of Iowa are far more fond of the race’s other female candidate: Republican Carly Fiorina. More than half of all respondents would vote for Fiorina in the mock election, compared to the 38 percent who said they would back Clinton.
