Whether the addition of former rival Carly Fiorina as his running-mate or a recent endorsement by Gov. Mike Pence, the tide in Indiana ahead of the state’s important presidential primary seems to be shifting in Ted Cruz’s favor.
Though results indicate there are still a large number of undecided Republican voters, a recent Downs Center for Indiana Politics poll belies other statistics giving Donald Trump a slim lead among Hoosiers.
Nevertheless, the Texas senator enjoys a 16-point lead — 45 to 29 — over Trump. John Kasich came another 16 points behind at 13 percent, or roughly the same number as those who identified as undecided.
