Actress Lena Dunham took her pro-abortion activism to a new extreme in an interview last week.
After thanking her mother for instilling in her at a young age her lasting position on the topic, the Girls star expressed her regret that she had never had the opportunity to kill one of her children in the womb.
“I still haven’t had an abortion,” she said, “but I wish I had.”
She chastised herself for having previously acknowledged she had never had the deadly procedure, going on to cite her mother and “best friends” who inspired her with their abortions.
“I feel so proud of them for their bravery, for their self-knowledge,” Dunham insisted. “And it was a really important moment for me then to realize I had internalized some of what society was throwing at us and I had to put it in the garbage.”
