Though he backed the president-elect’s rival, Democrat Hillary Clinton, in the 2016 presidential race, retired NFL running back Jim Brown is not part of the growing chorus of leftists questioning the legitimacy of Donald Trump’s impending administration.
In a recent Fox Business Network interview, the Hall of Famer shared his opinion that Trump won “fair and square,” which means the brash billionaire earned his respect.
Brown credited Trump for winning “against all odds” and defeating those who opposed him.
“And I was for Hillary,” he said, “so I’m one of those who Mr. Trump defeated.”
As with any president, Brown said he does not expect Trump to have all the answers.
“I’m not asking him to do everything,” he said. “I’m going to pitch in and do some of the things that I can do with the like-minded people that I represent.
