World’s largest airplane unveiled during first test

The world’s largest airplane, Stratolaunch, was recently rolled out of its hangar to perform some tests before it begins launching satellites into orbit as it was designed to do.

A demonstration of those capabilities could come as soon as 2019.

Here are a few astounding specs from the behemoth aircraft:

  • It is 50 feet tall and has a 385-foot wingspan.
  • It uses six Boeing 747 jetliner engines.
  • It has 28 wheels.
