Several visitors received an unexpected close encounter with a bobcat recently at Lehigh Valley Zoo in Pennsylvania.

At least one witness captured video of the 18-year-old feline, named Shishka, outside of her cage.

The escape prompted an emergency response from zoo personnel, who made sure visitors were safe as they contained the bobcat.

Shishka was reportedly able to create a hole in the enclosure. In a social media post about the incident, zoo staff said they expect the bobcat exhibit to reopen following an inspection.

“Lehigh Valley Zoo wants to thank our wonderful team members who sprang into action and made our guests’ safety a top priority,” the Facebook post read.
