A Pennsylvania woman said she recently opened a power bill showing she owed more to her local power provider than the gross domestic product of most of the world’s nations.

According to the Erie Times-News, Mary Horomanski, she was shocked to see an outstanding balance of more than $284 billion with a monthly payment of nearly $30,000 due immediately.

“My eyes just about popped out of my head,” she said. “We had put up Christmas lights and I wondered if we had put them up wrong.”

The power company, Penelec, confirmed the bill was sent in error and should have reflected a $284.46 balance.

For Horomanski, the initial shock prompted her to update the Christmas wishlist she had given her son to include a heart monitor.
